I have a 2017 JKU with OEM tubular side steps. They are about 3+ inches wide. My wife is under 5' and has a very difficult time getting into the Jeep without using a step stool.

Does anyone know of an extra lower step that can be added under the OEM side steps to help her to get in?

I haven't seen an additional step that can be added to the OEM step. Your best bet will probably be to replace the whole thing. Check out Quadratec for some idea of what's out there.
