Default Teraflex Dual rated manual sway bar

Hi

Has anybody fitted this unit to a JKU?
what was your experience with it?
How did you get rid of the sway bar light on the dash

Was it worth the money spend did your JK have extra flex and how did it handle on the tar road?

I'm curious about these as well. Been looking into this and the Currie Antirock.

Hadn't heard of this one before. Does the install require bumper removal and frame cutting like the TF one?

I've had it on 2 JK's, IMO best option as on the street as good or better than stock and off road it seems perfect do binding fully flexed.

You do not need to cut anything and as far as the bumper I don't thing so but I've always removed the stock bumpers at the same time and added aftermarket ones.
They don't need to be removed.

Here is a video note this one is old version on JK's the lever is on the drivers side.

The sway loc and the Currie antirock both mount using the existing sway bar mounting locations. The Teraflex mounts through the factory crash bar so you may run into bumper fitment issues depending on what style bumper you have. Just be aware, I was going to run the Teraflex front bar, but because I plan to run a skinny bumper from Crawler Concepts I can't. The CC bumper requires cutting the frame and removing the factory crash bar so the Teraflex now has nothing to mount to. Food for thought.....

I run a Currie Antirock up front and the Teraflex trail rate bar in the rear. I would not suggest running the Antirock/sway loc/Teraflex bar in the front and a stock rear sway bar. The stock rear sway bar is too soft. If you do the front, do the rear as well. Works way better as a package.

I used an AEV procal to turn off my sway bar light.

Worth the money???? debatable. The road manners aren't too different to be honest. You typically don't gain flex, if anything you might loose a little, but the rig is a lot more stable in off camber situations. The overall feel of the jeep on trails is better. If I had a choice of spending a grand on sway bars for my jeep again..... I probably wouldn't do it. At least not for the type of wheeling I do. They sure look cool in the mall parking lot though.

I should add my JK weighs 6400lbs empty and I run a 1" currie rear.
I hated the std Rubicon sway bars off road as I had to have the front unlocked and yes the rear was useless.
I gain stability now with no loss of flex off road. Its a win win for me.

Did you run the smaller Currie rear before you did the 1" by chance? I went back and forth on which rear bar to do for a while. I have a pretty light 2dr and the tech at Currie suggested the 1" rear bar. He said the 1" rear bar will stiffen the rear up and cause the front to be more active. I couldn't make up my mind so I opted for the Teraflex rear because there arms have 4 holes so you can increase or decrease tension on the torsion bar.

Looks pretty sweet. I like how easy it is to flip the lever to disconnect/reconnect. My RK disco's are easy enough to disconnect but can be a pain to get lined up when reconnecting.

I have the EVO QP front bumper not sure If that bumper would pose fitment issues with the TF but based on the ease of install from Currie or ORO (don't really want to have to pull my winch and front bumper that I just installed off) I'm leaning towards one of those two.

For me the price seems worth it to not have to deal with the hassle of reconnecting all the time. The thought of lining up my links at the end of everyday at EJS this year has me wanting to pull the trigger on a set ASAP!
