Default 3" lift dropped my mpg 4 miles

I was surprised that it dropped so much. I went from over 21 mpg to 17. Funny thing is that I get 17 on the highway driving 65-70, but just bopping around locally I get 18.5. I guess it's the increased wind resistance and bigger tires.

I'd kill for 17-18 mgp

Did you program your computer for the new tire size? If not, that could be understating you a smidge, but yes, you're not adding to the already stellar aerodynamics of jeep and it's taking a bit more effort to turn a larger than stock tire.

I went from the stock 32's to 33's and didn't do what it takes to recalibrate the speedo. I compared my speedometer to gps and it was just off 1 mph so ill just leave it alone.

I'd agree that is not enough of a difference to worry about it, just realize it will throw off the odometer and computer calculated efficiency a little. You're still right though, mainly looking at larger tire and added wind resistance sitting higher. I get 13.5mpg if it makes you feel any better.

Proper gearing and a tuner to dial everything in would probably make up for the lost fuel economy, for what it's worth.

But I have gearing and a tuner! Apparently gearing and tuner don't make up for 37's, armor, and tools lol
