Default Gobi roof rack with smittybilt tent

As anyone successfully added smittybilt's overland roof top tent on to their gobi roof rack? I'm looking at maybe getting a tent for the summer and was curious if the two would work together.

I have not mounted mine yet, but I did buy the SB folding rooftop tent ($400!!!) a couple weeks ago and I have a Rugged Ridge Sherpa rack for my 2 door. I have opened the tent and looked at it, it is pretty much universal. You need your roof rack that you have, you'll need your cross bars, and then there is a mount kit that comes with the tent that is assembled and attached by drilling and bolting the mount kit into the aluminum floor panel of the SB tent. You'll need to do these things in such a way as to marry the mount kit to your cross bars.

I got it at a scratch and dent sell, it was damaged and has a tear in the perimeter Velcro for securing the cover that is used while driving, and there is about a 4" cut in the tent fabric right at the bottom by the aluminum frame. The aluminum frame and floor was also dented and deformed in 3 of the corners, I just beat that shit flat with a hammer, used gorilla glue on the tear, and I don't give 2 shits about the 2" tear in the 16' run of Velcro! Considering that it is a $900 item that is still as functional as ever... but with some pre-existing street cred... and I got it for a song and dance... I took the deal.

This is the damage that was instilled upon the tent during shipping that allowed me the $400 buy.
