Default Rotopax fuel mount

Anyone use this Rotopax mount for their Jeep? Just wondering how sturdy it is and if it scratches up the paint.

I have the spare tire mount, but it's a PITA to have to remove the mount to put my bike carrier on (spare tire mount). This way I could carry both.

I have the mount you are talking about. You can put Jerry can holders or rotopax on it. It does not scratch the paint. I have had it on there for Jerry can holders for 2 years with no issue/no complaints. Very sturdy.

1 of the forum members here actually designed it and brought it to mass production. There's quite a few of us here running it with roto, jerry nato, scepter, etc.

Since I know you are worried about the paint, one thing I found helpful was to use the foam that comes in the package on the areas that touch the paint. Definitely not required just extra security.

Jeff (jscherb on the forums) designed it. If you search his name you'll find all of his development on the product. The Nor/Ryde product is solid though, I've got their entire tailgate setup.
