Do you like other Wrangler type vehicles (Samurai, Pajero etc.)
Not trying to start what is better or who copied who just curious what some think? I find myself intrigued by other 2 door Wrangler like vehicles. Always wanted a Samurai.
Curious what else is out there in spirit of original Jeep 2 door removable top, Samurai and Pajero (Montero) come to mind. Original Bronco as well.

Outside of an old Bronco, other vehicles don't interest me in regards to wanting to own one, but I too like to see them out on the trails and see what they are capable of. See so many jeeps out and about and know what they can do......it's interesting to see a different type of rig tackle the same thing. I'm usually pretty impressed.
I do love my '61 Willys station wagon but I'm a sucker for anything out of the norm. old FJ40's,80's, old school Bronco's, I.H., I love seeing any of them out on the trail. It's pretty rare for some reason though. Something about an old school 4 wheeler wheeling seems just right. I do like Toyota trucks and anything 4 wheel actually, as long as it's solid axle.

Samurais are way expensive these days, otherwise I'd really want one and I think it'd be a great fun off-road rig. Not sure I'd really like driving one on the road, not with today's world of 85mph speed limits, 2-ton midsize sedans and 4-ton large SUVs driven by texting millennials. If I want the traffic pucker factor I can take my motorcycle.
I've never driven one but I've always like the look of the late 80s Pajero (Raider/Montero). I owned an '86 Mitsubishi pickup which was a fantastic vehicle, you could NOT kill it. I bought it from my dad, drove it for years, sold to my mother in law, she drove for many more years, got tired of looking at it and traded it with like 250K trouble-free miles on it. Anyway, I really would like to find one of these old things. One day, when I have a collection
And I like the saying the Mitsu guys have... "It's a Montero thing. Even I don't understand." Maybe as I get older I'll warm up more to the angular 80s interior aesthetics. Never seen one in TX with a removable top. Did they import them that way?
Anyway, both a Samurai and a Pajero are on my list of some-day project vehicles, along with another 240Z and another Miata. I even very fondly recall my '85 Toyota Tercel 4wd, a shockingly capable little vehicle. I think I have a soft spot for the unusual Japanese specialty cars. Maybe it's an illness common to a lot of Gen-Xers.
