Default New G2 Gussets Pre Notched?? See Pic

I have heard a bunch of people say they are having issues with there JK 30 and 44 C Gussets hitting their coil springs. G2 Gussets look like they are pre notched so i won't have this issue. Also they are .25" which is the thicker of the different gussets i have looked at.. which are 3/16". Anyway, can someone with C gussets already installed look at this pic and tell me if this is what G2 is doing? Pre notching that is. Thanks

I have Artec gussets myself. I've not looked at the G2s before, but I'd agree that appears to be what they're doing. That said, I've not worried one second about my spring touching my gusset, and have never had an issue. Seems very minor to me. Artecs are 1/4" as well.

Probably not a big deal if I did run into it, rather not have the issue though. Thanks

On mine the RK springs just kinda kisses the gusset. If I could see it maybe being more concerning if the gusset wasn't allowing them to seat in the perch properly, but it seems pretty superficial. It doesn't seem to be too big of a deal either way to have a notch there or not. I don't think the notch is sacrificing the structural integrity of the gusset at all, but maybe someone else will chime in.

So it doesn't make any noise when the spring and gusset come into contact?

Yes, those are notches for the coil spring. We installed a set on my buddies D44. They fit nicely. I'm pretty sure the spring would rub if the notches weren't there. I think the G2 gussets sit a little further away from the C then Artec's do.

Thank you, that is what i needed to know. Do you not have any flares on your 2 door? I am running 37s on like 1.5" lift and am thinking about getting rid of my PS narrow fenders for 0" fender flares. Even with the high PS fenders i dont get much clearance.

Here is a pic of both sides with Artec gussets and RK springs just now.

They don't make any sound at all. It's not like they clang together or anything. Springs have retainers on em and don't move at all.

I'm fenderless myself using the GenRight deletes. I like it, but it's definitely not for everyone.

ugh, sorry for the rotated pics. Sharing directly off my google drive and they look fine there

I am running cut factory flares. I trimmed them more then most people do though. I think the widest spot on the fronts is about 3.5" and the rears are 2". My plan is to actually do the narrow PS fronts and no rear. Waiting to see if PS will ever come out with 2 dr corner armor again. I've seen some prototype 3" stretch rear corners that look awesome, hoping they come out sometime soon.

Edit: I still can't figure out how to post pic's since the photobucket change, but if you are on instagram you can check out my profile if you want to see pic's. mdashjeepn

They said they are also doing stock all the way to long stretch. You may already know that but just in case.
