Steering/handling improvements question
I was hoping for some info from those in the know. I've been running an AEV 2.5'' Dualsport lift, with 1.5'' wheel spacers, and 35'' rubber. What options do I have as far as smoothing out the ride on the road? (Not talking about death wobble, just general bump, and shimmy type stuff) I was considering a new front track bar, the lift only replaced the stock rear bar, and from what I've read steering stabilizers are more of a myth than anything.
Any thoughts or info is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I agree with Dirtman, but note that you mention bump/shimmy in your OP. Just changing out linkage to something different isn’t going to make a difference….unless you happen to have a bad joint in there. If you’re getting shimmy or bumpsteer, have you given the system a thorough inspection (Planman vids), or are you just saying you have a rough ride in general?
There's definitely a difference between a rough ride based on the tires/psi you choose to run, and feeling like there is a problem when you hit a bump or pothole. Can you clarify?

I really feel like it's just a rough ride. If I hit a bump/pothole, i get bounced a bit, as long as my hand is on the wheel it's just a matter of compensating, but I don't feel any severe pull on the wheel, or drastic shift in weight. It sounds like a thorough inspection is what I should be doing regardless. I'll start there, and then focus on the tires. Thanks for the tips, greatly appreciated.

Thought of another thing you might take a look at, the stock front an rear drive shafts, they have rubber boots on them.. at then ends... you cant miss them. These boots go bad a lot of times with lifted and higher mileage jeeps, if your boot is cracked/broken/wore out you my have a drive shaft issue which could probably cause some vibes. Look at that also. Just throwing some ideas out there

One other thing I might add is that AEV 2.5" lift doesn't come with caster correction. You very well are running caster that is a bit low unless you addressed that with some geo brackets that were NOT included. Caster will make a huge difference in the driving experience. Personally, I would start with verifying your caster and correcting if necessary, and if you still feel some odd things, inspect your component joints. Caster from the factory is 4.2*. If you have not corrected for the lift, I'd suspect you are down in the 3.x*'s range.
