Default putting my own lift together....

ok i am going to be putting my own lift together out of components from manufacturers. i can t say what company i am using but say if i were to put the 4" skyjacker springs front and back is there more height in the front to level out the jeep? or do i have to go with a 2.5" spring in the back? the reason i am asking this is i have the 2" skjacker BB w/ the 3/4" extra spacers and my jeep still has a very bad rake and i hate it. so are the after market spring lifts have longer front springs to compensate for this, or do i have to go shorter or taller springs in the front or rear to make up for it? i will be putting a kit together with new springs, shocks, and front and rear track bars for about $700 and this is the way i want to do it. i am looking for exactly 3" to 4" of lift. i don t want to get a 4" lift and end up being over 5" or a 3" lift being over 4".
the manufacturer of the springs i will be getting is 4" on a 2 dr and 3" on a 4 dr. or next step up is 5.5" on 2dr nd 4.5" on 4dr. so what i am thinking is getting the 4.5" coils for the front and the 3" coils for the rear. that should be enough to level the jeep out. but i don t want to shoot myself in the foot and end up with a 1.5" extra in the front either, I WANT IT LEVEL!

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Hey Grease maybe you can get ft 4inch springs, the fronts are heavy duty, check with northridge if they have them yet

yes most kits include more spring in the front to level out the rake... however, if you're using one kits front springs and anothers rear springs, the results will likely not be desirable... Each manufacturer lables their kits as say a 4" but some lift it 4" some 3" after settling, some 6" etc etc... so as long as your using the same makers front and rear springs you should be fine... or if you're planning on adding a heavy duty front bumper or winch etc, it will also make your rake look worse. So, the advice i would give is this, use the same makers front and rear springs, hang on to your front leveling spacers and add them in later if you're not happy with how it sits. I hope that helps,

usually you just have to toy with it until you reach the level height. my 2.5bb has a small rake which i dont mind but in the future i think i will fix it. im sure someone will post up a good lift combo for you though
