Default OME lift and 34's

My tires are here Hankook MTR's 295/75/16's (33.6") I just ordered the OME lift pkg. with f/r adj. track bars, it should be here 1st part of next week

What do will I need to complete this lift?
Any tips from you guys that have already done the lift?

BTW - I'm running SW mid width up front with 9.5ti Warn, and SW rails. David recommended the HD springs for 34's. Should I install my 1" TF spacers for rake adjustment?

TEEJ wrote a great post about rake adjustment a little while ago:

I keep my nose lower, as it hill climbs better.

With the front end up, too much weight transfers to the rear going uphill, and often overloads the individual rear tire's traction, while also unweighting the front tires' traction more, exacerbating uphill front tire spin, etc.

When carrying cargo, the nose gets tilted up, and the headlights point at the sky.

When braking, with the nose up, there's more dive, and change in Ackerman angles for the steering, etc....so I leave the factory rake to preserve the steering geometery, load handling and climbing aility, etc.

I've tried it leveled as well, and, its not a big difference in the range involved, so if the looks are important to you enough to outweight the small loss in function, its not that big a deal....but, I just wanted you to know about it.

If I use the 1" TF coil spacer up front to level my rig out and I'm going to run into drive shaft issues on the front? If I get close to 3" of lift plus the 1" spacer?

Actually, there's no difference at all between the lift from a spacer, and the lift from a longer coil, as far as your drivetrain can tell.

If you add a 3" coil (HD 2" coil, but w/o the extra weight to hold it down...), AND a 1" coil spacer...its EXACTLY like having 4" of lift....

So - what ever you'd need for a 4" lift...is what you'd need.

I think the OME is considered a "complete kit". That being said, it's probably good advice to invest in new track bars to adjust the axles back to spec.

The OME is not a complete lift. It really is a great budget minded 2-3" lift kit that rides great. If you want complete you will need some control arms, brake lines, trackbars ect.

Know dont get me wrong the OME kit works great for what it comes with. I guess we may need to define complete.

Sorry.... I was told a few months ago that all you needed what the OME Kit, with some shocks and springs (So I considered that complete).

On the 2-3 inch OME though, do you really need the control arms or brake lines?

I just got the track bar, steering stablizer and OME lift, I asked when I ordered and you said this would be all that I would need. I would have ordered the other stuff to probably if I knew I needed it to be 'complete'. I dont want to tear anything up while wheeling. Although I am going to assume ill be alright without brakelines and new control arms.

I just checked the price on control arms and they are kind of expensive for the whole set, is this something one needs to really hope for te best on and off road performance out of there ome lift?

Perhaps you can come up with a 'complete' OME kit then? ...it would be nice if OME made all the parts of a 'complete' kit

This is how I'm running mine right now with the same size tire 295-75-16
and it sits perfectly level measuring from the pinch weld.
I am using 1" spacers in the front instead of the 1/2" OME leveling spacer.

I had the bump stops on before I but the new springs on, so I don't know for sure if you need them. The front looks like it doesn't need them, but the back gets really close to rubbing with the bump stops.

If you are concerned about drive line issues, leave your leveling spacers out till your springs settle. That will take 1/2" off.

OME springs
Shrockworks front stubby
T-max winch
Rockhard4x4 rear bumper
Adjustable front track bar
Extended sway bar links.
2" bump stops front and back

I believe with your SW mid and 9.5ti along the HD front springs, you may be too high with a 1" spacer in front. The SW bumper is not all that heavy, and the 9.5ti is no powerplant. When I bought the OME kit I also purchased additional 1/2" spacers to use in conjunction with the 1/2" spacers that comes with the OME kit, and I ended up not using them because I think the HD OME kit has a very nice stance itself. I have a similar stubby and also have the 9.5ti, here is a photo for reference......

EDIT: keep in mind I also have a full size rear bumper and tire carrier, so this may have caused me to sag a bit in the rear too. If you are using the stock rear bumper/tire carrier that 1" spacer may work out well for you....
