Default Sway bar disconnect frozen. HELP

Hey everyone so today I attempted to disconnect my front way bar. I have the rock krwaler front sway bar disconnects and they are rusted. I was able to get the wing nut off with the help of PB Blaster and a hammer but now the sway bar links will not move off of the stud. I attempted to use a deadblow hammer and PB Blaster but had no luck. I am on flat level ground in my garage. Can someone help. I am trying to avoid using a torch due to the bushing in the sway bar end link. Attached is a picture THANKS

Perhaps obvious, but I'll ask anyways. Did you spray it multiple times over a few hours? I usually spray once an hour for 3 hours or several times over a day and then make an attempt the next day if I have time.

Silicone lube is what you want. Manipulate the weight of the jeep using a jack to see if you can upset the balance and get it off. Alternative would be to grab a tow strap and gently pull.

Dang I don't like that design. I wouldn't want to be screwing a wingnut on off. My JKS just use a simple linch pin to stay in place.....nothing to get all rusted up. The above suggestions are best I can think of as well. Definitely have to give penetrating things time to get in there. Along the lines of Karls tow strap suggestion.....possibly a couple ratchet straps hooked to something and pulling (one around top and by bottom to keep even pressure) to help pull while you hit with a mallet from the opposite side. I agree....stay away from torch if at all possible.

UPDATE! I used the jam just with alot of muscle and PB Blaster and it helped to slide off. I took a wire wheel to it all and then used anti sieze and put it all back together

Likely best to use an angle grinder to work that quick disco feature once and for all and then pick yourself up some Steinjagers

I found out Tri-Flow chain lube works really well on things like this. On manifold bolts, it was turning the rust into mud almost immediately.

PS: I saw that lock nut sitting there ready to be used

Glad you got it out. For anyone here that has never heard of Kroil do yourself a favor, go on amazon and order a can now. Nothing will ever be locked up again and PB Blaster and liquid wrench have nothing on it. I'm originally from the NE and here in So Cal I'm on salty beaches all day. I know rusted bolts. Try it.

Not to hijack but I have the JKS quick disconnects and they come with a circular type of lock pin. I always wondered if I could just use a nylon nut and bolt combo for the upper ones to help protect from theft. Then I can just pull the bottom and zip tie it it up if I ever need to use them. I've never played in the rocks and never had to use them.

I've stuck with Liquid Wrench (grandfather used it). This seems to back that up.

wow I can't believe Kroil came up last in that video lol. Maybe just because of the cost? The can I have I got like 3 years ago and it has plenty left in it. Very interesting. I'll grab a can of liquid wrench too. Cheap enough.
