Purchased a Unichip for my JK. Easy install, but having problems now. When I turn the key, my jeep cranks forever until it starts. I took off the unichip and brought it to the dealer. The dealer replaced my crank position sensor and it stopped. So, I decided to put the unichip back in. BAD IDEA!! After a few weeks, it is doing it again. I have called Unichip and they have had numerous complaints about this. Anyone experienced this and know how to fix it? I'm getting ready to have unichip give me my $$ back.

 

Just went out to the garage and took out the Unichip. Once I did, the jeep starts normal again. Took it through town and started it about 10 times, no problems. This confirms that it is the Unichip!

 

Sending it back to Unichip. They say they have an update for it. We'll see if it works.

are the significant..or minor?

 

sounds like uni-chip gets it power from timing curve advancement or retarding it not sure which been awhile
