Default running stock Rubi front locker and ARB rear

2013 Rubicon unlimited
I am replacing my rear axle with a rockjock 60 with ARB. Will I need to do the locker mod to be able to turn on my front stock elocker since the computer will not "see" the rear locker engaged first? And will I only need to run the mod on the front locker relay?

I would think that since you have to wire that rear up separately, you may as well do the same for the front at the same time, triggering it right off a relayed switch rather than the factory button.

That is correct. Jump the front relay's ground wire to a ground with your own switch; preferably a guarded switch.

Yeah, I'd do this anyways just for the sake of FREEDOM . Just bypass the factory wiring and wire the front to a toggle switch as well.

I have mine wired up to an sPOD. Now, maybe some of you guys can edumacate me a bit.....cuz to be honest, when I'm in locker situation, I just turn em both on at once. I have never found myself only turning the rear on cuz I thought I only needed rear traction. Or in that regard, front only. I could actually just save a switch and wire em both to the same one tbh. I could see if I had a rubi and had to turn the rear on just to get to the fronts it might be different, but with complete control, it's just both on or off. Do you guys find situations you only turn one or the other on? Maybe I'm just not wheelin' right.

Best to have separate switches for the front+rear lockers. For example a locked front will affect normal steering.

Yeah I prefer keeping them separate. I'll only lock the rear sometimes if it's really slick (stream or muddiness near a climb, etc.). Also finding myself unlocking the front sometimes in the rocks....but hydro assist should solve that issue soon. Also gonna need a new rear locker soon, my Eaton 4 pin went boom.
