Default Fox 2.0 resivor shocks vs Falcon 2.0 shocks

Was just wondering if anyone had experience with both and which one they liked better for a dual purpose rig. I drive it about 200 miles to and from work every month and go out every weekend. It's a bit of fire trails and some rocks but nothing serious enough to break any of the plastic trim pieces even though I have stuffed my wheels far enough into the wheel wells to get some rub with only a spring swap (took 4dr Rubicon springs and put them on my 2dr Rubicon). If it matters the lift I'm going with is gonna be a 3"

For your use, you definitely don't need either reservoir shocks. What are the Falcon 2.0's? I can't find them, only seeing the 2.1 monotubes, 3.1 reservoirs, and 3.3 reservoirs.

The monotube 2.1's aren't really comparable to the Fox 2.0 reservoirs, performance or price wise. I'm assuming you're talking about the 3.1 Falcon shocks? In that case, they're pretty comparable to the Fox, and you probably won't notice a difference if they have the same gas charge; They're both aluminum bodied, serviceable, rebuildable, and reservoir shocks. The Falcons are a bit more expensive, and haven't been around as long...although the Teraflex marketing team did a good job.

I'd reconsider whether you really need to spend $8-900 on shocks if you're just running fire roads and simple trails. If you're looking at doing a full build, the money you'll save by going monotube can be allocated to better things. If I had to choose though, Fox all day long...I really don't have a single positive thing to say about Teraflex's products (except their tire carrier, it worked well when I had it). I hated their coils, their control arms joints/bushings suck, and their "HD" ball joints didn't last more than 6 months on my rig. I like their videos though, only because of Dennis.
