I bought a used jk and it has a tune, can I erase it, dont have the original tuner? Or do I need the dealer to flash it? I used a flashpaq f5 and programmed the new 5.13 gears and 37s but it wont tkae the tune telling me "Vehicle not stock". Anyone have this problem? Thx

 

You are looking at a dealer doing a reflash back to stock. From there you can use your F5 unit to make your changes. Whoever traded that jeep in should have sent the tuner with it. The tuner is married to the VIN, so it's not like they could have sold it to someone else anyhow.

 

Thank you U confirmed what I believe to be the only way but I was hoping maybe somebody had plan B alternative. I had heard rumors there were other methods to reset it but I doubt it it was able to remove the existing tune. Interesting about the former owner yes I think he was a bit off anyway because the Jeep needed lots of things done to it But I got it for cheap so things work out called balance huh lol. Thx !
