Default Superlift adjustable rear track bar (WORD OF CAUTION)

I ordered the Superlift adjustable rear track bar for a JK and got it today. While getting it was a nightmare and parts were missing, thats not what this thread is about. I wanted to let others know who might be interested that this bar uses a lift bracket that bolts to the axle just like many of the BB lifts include for the stock bar. I refuse to run a bar with this setup so I have ordered a Full Traction bar. There are numerous threads on weld failures from this type of bracket.

BUYER BEWARE

No problem.

I'll snap a pic of it before I box it up to send it back this afternoon.

Just because it has a bracket, doesn't mean that you have to run it. I had the same fear when mine came in (no parts missing by the way) and after measuring, I'm running it without the bracket and no problems even after some modertae to heavy wheeling a few weekends back.

They were going to have to send me a new one anyway. Quadratec lied to me and told me that there are no vendors that stock Full Traction. I was told that Ful Traction only drop ships their parts. When I called 4WD and told them about my parts missing they told me this wasn't true as they had them in stock. I'm gong to get the bar I wanted in the first place.

P.S. The parts missing were all of the nuts, bolts, washers, busings, and heim joint. Basically anything that attached to the bar except the bracket was missing. I think I got one that had been returned.

I got the Superlifts as temps. I will eventually buy either the FT Ultimate or the Teraflex equivelent lift so I didn't want to have two sets of $400 track bars. I got the Superlifts for like $110 each and they are great with my Skyjacker lift. Sorry to hear about your problems, seems like I was the lucky one and that there are quite a few with missing pieces.

Just an FYI, I have the superlift bracket, and not the adjustable track bar. I have had this thing on for over a year and some pretty hard wheeling and have not had a single issue with the with broken welds on the axle. The only company to my knowledge that had issues with the track bar brackets were Skyjacker.

Yeah, Skyjacker and Fabtech is all that I've heard about, mainly Skyjacker. I haven't seen or heard of an issue with the BD/Superlift bracket.

I have also not heard of anyone having problems with this specific bracket. I just wanted to throw it out there that this is a similar design to one that is known to cause problems. Not trying to talk anyone out of it. I just don't like the idea of it putting more leverage on welds that are known to be weak.
