Default Aftermarket exhaust ?

I'm looking for more power. I got my CAI figured out, and I am going to get a Max Energy programmer when they get the bugs worked out. I want to get an aftermarket exhaust, BUT I don't want it to be loud. I don't want to listen to the exhaust when I've got the top off. Are there any exhaust systems out that will gain you a little performance without having to listen to it?
Thanks.

I think most of the exhaust companies out there expect their customers to want a slightly more aggressive sounding exhuast too.

Plus, I'm not sure how hard it is to manufacture an exhaust which is more efficient and just as quiet.

Sounds like you might have to get a louder exhaust, or stick with the performance you have.... but I have been wrong before

Define loud or noisey. I only say that because what I may think is quiet, you may think is loud.

Search around a bit, there are quite a few sound clips of JK's with aftermarket exhausts.

It's definitely a personal preference thing but the bottom line is that an opened up exhaust will make more noise and you need to open it up to make more power, however little that may be.

I just put on a Flowmaster Delta 50 muffler today. I got the 50 instead of the 40 or 44 because it is supposed to be a little quieter, but still provides a boost in performance. I also kept the muffler in the stock location in an effort to keep the in cab noise down. I was very happy with the way it turned out. The 50 is a lot smaller than the stock muffler and tucks away nicely out of view. The guy at the shop even painted the pipes and muffler for me.

There was a noticeable increase in the pick up of my Jeep, especially on hills. It is somewhat louder than stock, but not bad at all. After a quick shake down run in the mountains, I am very pleased with the improvement. CAI will be next. I have been looking at the True Flow because I like that the filter is covered. Have you noticed any kind of annoying whistles or noises (ala Air Raid?)

I'm going to look into that muffler, thanks.
As far as the True Flow XDI. I just drove it a little bit tonight, but there were no annoying whistling or noises that I noticed. Noticable increase in power. I'm pretty happy with it. the only bad thing I can see is you have to remove the whole filter housing to clean the filter. There's not enough room to pull the filter element out before it hits the inner fender. I would recomend it. Truck customizers has them for $285 shipped.

If you want power and no noise, flying is not for you....stick with the Supply Corp...lot's of power and zero noise...me...nothing gets a rise out of me like an F-4 Phantom on Stage 3 afterburners.

I have the Borla exhaust(axle back one) In my opinion its not very loud, maybe just a little louder than stock when accelerating. The character of the sound is a little more aggresive than stock. I think it gave a nice little increase in power as well.
