JK Show & TellWhether they're just poser shots in your driveway or hardcore action shots on the trail, if you've got photos or videos of your Jeep JK Wrangler (or any JK for that matter that you think is worth showing off, inside or out), we want to see them so please post them here! Likewise, if you are wanting to see a photo of something specific like an aftermarket JK part or poser shot with a specific setup, this is the place to ask for it.
Well eng is done and Hood just came in. I sent the DV-8 hood back do to damage and glad I did..I did not know it was a knock off China made, metal hood..As some mentions get the original and I was lucky that the DV8 was damaged and I received a refund..Then ordered the Totl Innovation fiberglass hood. The only thing i don't like is you can't mount the safety latch from the old hood..Well it's at the body shop now and going to be painted and mounted..Can't wait will follow with pic's.
How come you can't mount the safety latch? That would scare me just a tad.....cuz I've been saved several times by that safety latch!! (as stupid as that may sound) and, usually when that safety latch saves you......it's getting up to highway speeds. The alternative.....hood in the windshield and flyin blind.

That is a damn good question, that I don't have an answer for..the front springs have mounting holes..I thinking of a way to make it happen, I don't like it either. Also no hole in the hood for the wiper washer hose to spray.
@TOTL Innovations is a sponsor here and they used to be fairly responsive to inquiries. You might reach out to them here and see what they've got to say or check their posts to see how they've handled the windshield washer fluid dilemma. The early years are bastards in the sense that we've only got one nozzle. The later years got two and man, can you ever tell a difference. I'd like to eventually go to the AEV or 10th Anniversary hood, both of which provide for 2 nozzles.
Edit: appears they've not been active in the last year, but they still may have some decent data for you in their posts.

I have discussed this with Allan. Personally I will figure out a fix, for these to problems yet! At my age the Brain matter works slower, but at least it still does!

If that hood fits various year JKs, they likely expect you to drill what you need. Some older JKs have only one spray nozzle, newer have two. I'd contact them about the safety latch. There have been a couple cases reported on this forum over the years where the older hood tiedowns broke and the safety latch caught the hood. I find it difficult to believe that a company would want to assume the risk of being sued over that.

Thanks for your input, I have discussed this with the owner Allan..I was going to install a lock in the grill with a dust cover, for the catch..But I am until I get this figured out, installing lockable Tie downs for now
Just got her back, I have not decided what to do about the safety latch or spray nozzle yet..But I am well pleased with the way she looks.
Hood done, Eng new, Axillary auto trans cooler installed,Hard top installed, new alternator and starter, bumper ft and rear, new spare tire cover, new drivers seat brackets that allow seat to go back 2-3 inches further which I might add is great, footman loop repositioned now last will be radio and done...I'm broke
