Winch weight?
Just as you wouldn't judge a book by its cover, I wouldn't judge the winch by the weight. You'll find cheap Chinese winches as well as quality alloy pieces that will end up weighing the same. My winch is heavy, but it does everything I ask for. With a quality lift, I was not concerned about any height loss.
I have a Ramsey rep 9000 that is probably pushing 100 pounds, it's probably 25 years old and has never failed yet, I have thought about replacing the solenoids just in case, but it keeps on working

My Warn VR-10,000 with steel cable weighs in at 98lbs. It's been going strong for about 5 years now.
A better way to go about picking a winch is to get one that has the pulling force and the features you want, and if it is heavier than you would like, consider getting the same winch but with synthetic line to make it lighter. With winches light weight generally means either very cheep, or very expensive.
As mentioned above, with a quality lift you won't get that much sag, and the first time it saves your butt, or pulls an otherwise immovable vehicle or object, you won't care how long you have been lugging that 100lbs. Chunk of steel around on you bumper. One necessary use of the winch will more than make up for the loss of gas mileage for a slightly heavier winch.
