Default New Jeep build - anything else I might need ?

Hi! New 2018 JK 2 door Rubicon owner. I’m all set to get a 2.5 inch metalcloak rock sport edition dual rate lift, 35 inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, and some procomp 7069 wheels this month. I’m a completely noob with car repairs and live in a city so I don’t have the space for tinkering. This has been my dream car and set up so I’m very excited. I called around to a few shops and found one that has great reviews and was very helpful and patient with my questions. They will be installing and putting on a teraflex tire carrier for the big tires.

This car is my daily driver and I have a short commute to work. Plan on just over landing and driving in snow. Besides a regear in the near future, can you think of any additional mods that I might need with the new set up?

Thank you! Also people in my city need to wave back more!

Thats a complete kit, the only thing I see you needing is a programmer to reset the speedometer and odometer. I would check the tires weight rating to make sure you are not getting an E rated tire that is built for big trucks as they typically ride rough on a light jeep.

MC makes great products. One thing almost everyone overlooks when it comes to lifting is upgrading steering components. You'll be fine right off the bat, but know that ball joints are a common nuisance on lifted Jeeps with larger tires. Just keep that in mind for a future upgrade (may consider adding C gussets as well). A TR might not be a bad thing to keep in mind either, but for your use and general overlanding you're not as likely to be banging that around as some are. Have fun with that jeep!
