2013 JKU lifted, what mods for better on-road performance
I recently lifted a 2013 JKU Sahara with teraflex 2.5 lift kit incl 9550 shocks. I added the adjustable front track bar from teraflex as well. 35 inch tyres on 17's. The reason behind these mods where to get a more aggressive look and to perform the 1-2 times/month I actually go offroading.
What else should I do to increase the on-road performance as in riding comfort on highway etc.

Did your lift kit have any kind of caster correction? If not, raising the caster will help with some pavement improvement. Other than that, pay attention to tire pressure. For a 35 most will run around 30psi +/-.
Without knowing more detail, some common questions/improvements are: Was any form of caster correction installed? (post the alignment specs if you have them). What load rate are the tires? What psi are you running in them? Were the control arms loosened during the lift and tightened when back on the ground under full vehicle weight?
I had the basic 2.5” teraflex coil kit with the stock shock extensions, and it rode very well. At 2.5” front caster is barely noticeable. I am going up to 3.5”, and will add lower control arms to get caster back to 5 degrees. (Stock is 4.2 or so). Caster allows the steering to self center as the Jeep runs down the road. You may get a “flighty” feeling now, but again at 2.5” it’s not a big issue.
AEV or JKS geometry brackets are something I also researched and some 2.5” kits come with those. I just can’t see their benefit, and rather spend the additional $200 to gain the ground clearance.
As mentioned above, tire pressure is a BIG deal! I swapped back from 285/75/17 KM2’s to 315/70/17 Duratracs, and what a difference that made! (I kept the BFG’s at 30 front and 28 rear). The Duratracs also are D load range.
Can’t go wrong w Teraflex. Great kit.
