Opinion on selling my '08 JKU Rubicon
Guys I'm thinking of finally selling my '08 JKU Rubicon and would really like your opinions. 1 owner - I bought this new and have all documentation, red rock, auto., 21,000 miles - yes only 21k I have a lot of cars and only about a 7 mile commute to work. Bought new hard top about 4 years ago - have original soft top and original half doors. Also have a set of full doors that are on it now. Have 1 year old 17" Fuel Beast wheels with 35" Ridge Grapplers. Have FabFours front bumper, Warn 8000 winch, OME shocks and 2 1/2' lift and adjustable track bars. Also have every piece of OEM equipment. Truck is immaculate and still looks new everywhere including underneath. I kept it in the garage for many years. No issues with this JK. Why selling? - I've had a recent health scare and its caused me to reassess my toys and my time. Would I be better to take it back to full OEM and sell the parts/wheels tires/doors etc or package it as is with everything together? And what the heck is the price range - it seems to be all over the board?
Thank you.
Thank you.
You probably would be better selling it as a stock jeep and then moving your parts on the side. I'd sell all of the accessories to someone who wants to lift it, do tires, and such.
21k miles though, what it must be like to have a 'new' jeep still. Price depends on your location and Florida is probably a good place to sell a half door jeep.

I would sell it as is with all accessories. Too much work to remove everything and deal with selling it to people on facebook, Craig List, etc.
Have you checked loan value on the Jeep? Yes low miles but an 2008 model may have a lower loan value which could shorten your list of buyers. You could get the loan value, factor in some of the accessories, and come up with a purchase price. People may want to cover the gap between loan value and your set price with cash.

Check to see if you have a local jeep club. They can likely help with realistic pricing as some of them may be interested in buying it. You can also see if there is enough interest to but the aftermarket parts separately. I agree that the leg work involved with parting out could be painful. Selling it all at once is worth a lower price to be able to get the deal done on a single day. Just something to consider. Good luck and Go Gators.
I also think you need to check the value of your jeep and sell it as a whole cause if you sell accessories and jeep separately you'll get less money. When my brother sold his car, he also thought about selling accessories separately, but I advised him to sell the whole car. He wanted to buy another car a newer and more reliable one. I advised him one site where he took out the loan and added to the money from the sale of the old car and bought a new one. He was really happy that he took a loan with minimal interest and long payoff. Here the link if somebody needs it https://credit-10.com/fi/etua-luotto/

Another issue not mentioned is the Loan Payback Time will be shorter on an older vehicle, and the Interest Rate will likely also be higher than on a newer vehicle. This becomes more of a problem the higher the Retail Price of the vehicle. High Retail + Higher Interest + Shorter Payoff Time = Higher Monthly Payments.
Just something to consider. Your Condition and Very Low Mileage will help a lot. The Lift and Tires should be a Plus I would think.

I think you can write a detailed ad and describe the car. Also, specify the components and their price. Maybe one buyer wants to buy the entire set at once. Then, it will be even more convenient for you! In any case, your car is almost new, and you should not reduce its price much. Whether it's a Damaged Car, it would be complicated. I'm glad that I could sell it at all) This situation turned out, my wife decided to give her old car to her son when he got his license, and we wanted to buy her a new one. But since she did not have time to choose a car for herself, she decided to use the old one for now and, as luck would have it, got into an accident on it. The car's repair was estimated at $ 9,000, which is more expensive than the car itself.

Well - I'm Back in my old JK !
Crazy story - sold it a year ago to a friend and now just bought it back! (actually we made a deal to swap it for my boat and some cash) Was kept under cover and he drove it only 1,000 mi. over the last year. I gotta say I'm happy to have it back! . Already have an appt to finally install some 5.38's - I was never happy with the 4.10's with 35's (Its an auto)
