Getting the Jeep ready for 4.56 Yukon gears and looking at getting a Yukon Grizzly locker install up front.
Any good, bad, or ugly I should know about having a Grizzly Locker installed up front?
Now, what about adding a Yukon Grizzly Locker to the rear? (just checked this morning and I have an open diff, thought I had Trac-Lok)
Be sure to do your research, I know the autos were not liking particular lockers for a while after 2013, but I font don't recall the details of it. I got the info from a guy who had a 14 Willy's he regeared while working at the dealer. The locker manufacturer ended up sending him something different because what he ordered would not let the jeep come out of limp mode.
For the rear, spend a little time researching that limp mode issue. It does not get mentioned much these days, so I don't know if it is still a problem with any newer years, or only with certain years/transmissions. Could be that people have just stopped installing them...
For the front, no problem, other than ---> it's an auto-locker, and you posted a picture of your jeep in the snow. Front lockers can be something of an acquired taste on slick roads, some hate them, others are ok with the performance.

Thanks, Mine is a manual trans, sorry I didn't mention that.
I've got a manual transmission 2 door jk that I just regeared to 4.88's and Yukon Grizzly lockers both front and rear.......it's now a beast in the woods....I don't rock crawl mainly mud.......on the road you feel the lockers in curves especially when accelerating or decelerating and shifting.....but I quickly got used to it......I don't even notice it now......I would 100% do it again....

So I went ahead and had 4.56 gears and Grizzly lockers installed front and rear. Love the new gears and the lockers have proven themselves as well.
Question for you, mine is a manual trans like your's so do you get "backlash" type noise from the front axle/driveshaft/transfer case area during low speed shifts 1-3rd?
It's almost like a ratcheting sounds for a brief moment you I depress the clutch.
