Default Body vs Bumper Mount Spare Tire

I've been doing some research and wanted others opinions. I am looking at 2 options for mounting up to a 37" tire and at least 1 jerry can. Option 1 is an LOD destroyer tire carrier with 2 jerry can racks weighing in at 165 lbs for the bumper/tire carrier. Option 2 is a body mounted carrier (currently looking at motobilt) with the Rock Slide Engineering ratchet strap setup around the spare to hold only 1 maybe 2 jerry cans and keep the stock bumper or go to an aluminum bumper total weight about 100 - 125 lbs less than LOD. Thoughts on one over the other? This is on a 2016 JKU, interior room is limited as it is me, the wife, 2 kids, and a siberian husky. LOD setup would set me back Almost $2,000 and the other only about $750.

I wouldn't even consider the Motobilt in the same category as the LOD. Is there a reason you need extra fuel on a trip? I have jerry cans and they stay at home. The jeep holds plenty for my needs.

The Jerry can would be for water.

Ok, can I present another option that you may have not considered? MorRyde system and they've got a plate that will allow you to mount the rotopax fuel can if you haven't already purchased. I'm trying to think if I've seen it with a jerry can on there too, but it's not coming to me. You'd be around the same price as your motobilt but better quality and greaseable hinges to where the 37" will feel like a factory tire on the back. They've got various mounting options to where you can switch out the mount for a high lift mount if you so desire. The MorRyde kills two birds with one stone by holding the tire and giving you reinforcement in the gate where you'll want it.

Look at the Maximus-3 spare tire carrier too. I have it on mine and they make a lot of accessories for it to add Rotopax, Jerrry cans, Hi-Lift mounts, shovel mounts, etc.......
