Default JK rear Dana 44 contact pattern

Hello!

I’m looking for a little advice on my contact pattern. I think I have everything set up correctly with the exception of moving the carrier a tad to increase backlash by about .005”. I believe the pattern looks good for pinion depth but I’m hoping for verification from the greater minds here.

cheers
Joshua

You do realize that as you move the carrier to get your backlash where you want it, it's going to change the pattern a bit? Asking right now is premature.

Default Final assembly

Pinion pre load is about 25 in/lbs

Backlash is set at .009 in.

Here is the pattern I’m showing now, how’s it look?

I think that looks ok, but I don't do this daily....only 2 times on my own junk. Maybe @TheDirtman will give you his opinion/confirmation to ease your mind.
