Yes, the Mopar kit is recommended. I installed it on mine without issue. You pull the air bag off, install the new shroud, install the horn switch pieces, and plug in the stalk. It's super easy. The toughest part was getting the air bag off but with the right tool, it was cake. The factory kit isn't that expensive and it just plain works. I wish I had added it earlier.

It looks like the kits are tougher to find than they used to be. You could always find a wrecked jeep and grab just the pieces behind the steering wheel. The stalk seems cheap but I think it's the white horn buttons and punch of harness that is most crucial. Realistically, you could even trim your shroud if you can't find one. I think I paid $160 years ago. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

I have three different inquiries as to finding those parts, or the Factory kit..Thanks for the suggestions and I will keep that in mind.

Also looking for a recommendation. The daughter would like one in her 2010, (6sp manual transmission). The MOPAR kits seem to be tough to find. Everyone is sold out. It seems Rostra is the only option I've found so far.
Thanks.

I ordered the Rostra kit, but not nearly as easy to install as the MOPAR kit. They want you to fiddle with the throttle ECM and I'm not real comfortable doing that.
If anyone has a lead on where to get a MOPAR kit please post. I tried jeepsareus.com, but they no longer stock them.

Okay. I figured out what to order.

The MOPAR kit is not longer stocked. But... the parts are stocked.
