Default Rugged ridge high mount snorkel and windshield light bar

Hello everyone!!

New to the forum and I apologise if this has been discussed before but....
I just installed the rugged ridge moudular snorkel and had to remove my light bar I had on my Jeep. Is anyone familiar with a mount that will allow me to use the high mount snorkel and the 50 in straight light bar. Or is there a modification that can be done to accomplish this.

Thanks in advance

I don't have a light bar but can't you put the light bar mount in, attach the snorkel, then use longer bolts for the snorkel mount?

I did that but the top of the snorkel makes solid contact with the light and completely eliminates the ability it install the pre filter.

The only thing I can think is trimming the plastic on the snorkel with a straight cut in the area of contact, and plastic welding a panel over the spot? That wouldn't work well with the pre-filter... but it might with the stock filter intake.

I hadn't considered that but I can make it work with the existing bracket and the snorkel. The pre filter is the provlem.i talked with a local shop and we think we can just raise the mounting tabs on my existing light mounts

You’re over thinking it. It’ll fit. Just loosen the bolts on the bracket that bolts the snorkel to the pillar. Keep it loose, pop the filter on, and tighten the bolts. There’s enough room for adjustment.

I ran a 50” for a brief period before hating it. It worked perfectly fine with my Rugged Ridge snorkel.

Roger that will be giving that a try tomorrow did the constant wind noise play major part in that change lol

I'd have to guess that most of us have had a cheap 50" at some point and time. They come and go.....IMO, there's so much better lighting options, not to mention, how often do you really turn that thing on to justify the hideous look it has sitting up there 100% of the time. I guess some people like the look, and that is just a matter of opinion. You'd be surprised what a couple quality lights on the a-pillar and bumper can do.....although with a snorkel, your a-pillar is probably not a functional spot.

As far as noise, I'll go to my grave saying the noise is all determined by the mount, and how high the bar is actually held. I had cheap eBay light and mount that sat fairly low relative to most. With a but deflector on the front of the hood the noise wasn't terrible. I've been in a few jeeps though that held the light higher and it was like dang 777 taking off.

I forgot all about that RR snorkel. It's been a bunch of years now, is it holding up? Worth doing?

Been awesome for me. It's smacked a bunch of trees, doesn't whistle or make noise, and drain valve/tube at the bottom is pretty sweet to have too. I tuck it behind my fender. I check it like once every 2 months, and there's usually some water in there from driving in the rain. Would recommend for sure.
