Just ordered our tablet based navigation/infotainment setup. We have the Galaxy tab A 2018 LTE with a 256gb memory card. I placed an order for a bunch of ram stuff including an X mount, a few arms and ball mounts for both our rigs. Going to be a solid nice setup. Here is a picture of it just laid into the "cubbie" above the stereo. The tablet itself works great.

Ah, thought maybe you were talking about mounting multiple things at once. I like that vector bar, but it's been on my wish list for like 3 years.....which tells me I'll probably never get it as I don't need it bad enough.

Yeah, I can mount multiple things if I add a second ball to it. but I really only need the tablet. Just picked up the Argent paint for my wheels too. They are getting painted this weekend weather permitting.

Consider also a GMRS*. This is a much better band for the overlanding community. True line-of-sight radio with minimal interference from distant stations. Not as good as a bonafide DC-to-daylight ham radio, but no test and $70 license is good for all family members for ten years. Also, GMRS rigs are interoperable with FRS handheld radios.

*You'll still want the CB because so many folks are stuck on that. But, it's changing.

Thanks Mark for the advice, I actually use my CB on the roads talking to truckers asking highway conditions and if they spotted any "Newfie Speedbumps". We are usually out in the backcountry alone. So, the cb is mainly for communication on road.
