No love for 2 doors on Youtube
In addition to wheeling whenever I get the opportunity, I also watch a ton of Jeep related Youtube (Lite brite, Trail Recon, JKG&G, etc.). One thing that I've been wondering lately is why do you almost never see any 2 door Jeeps in these videos? It's almost exclusively JKU or JLU's shown regardless of the location. Is this because most trails are more built for 4 door Jeeps due to reach or is it that the 2 doors make everything look too easy?
2 doors do make it a lot easier. Years ago, my friend and I went to Rausch Creek. He was on 35's with all of the usual goods, I was on 31's with a level kit and disconnects. He took 3-5 minutes to get across a small rock section between some trees. I completed the same section in less than 30 seconds.
I think what you're seeing though is a shift in the market. It used to be something like 70% of jeeps sold were 4 door so they're already outnumbering the 2 door and it's only compounded by the fact that these folks who are doing the videos have lots of gear to carry or a family so they're automatically in the 4 door group. We've got a couple of members here who have 2 doors and go play with them. I fit the bill but I'm not interested in recording my wheeling experiences, I get out to unplug.

Since you didn't mention my channel, I'll throw up some links to teasers with a two door in it. That should help you decide if you wish to watch the entire series. Do be aware that I enjoy overlanding trips with a wide variety of brands, so folks who are into Jeeps only should look elsewhere.
