Default How much lift do I have?

I picked up a 2015 JKU a few weeks ago, the previous owner was pretty clueless about it. They bought it off the lot set up the way it is. I assume it’s a pro Comp lift, the springs are not stock. I’m pretty sure the control arms are oem. It has aluminum bodied pro Comp shocks. Has brake line extenders as well as rear track bar relocation. I found a pic showing stock measurements from where the front bottom shock rubber touches to the center of the shock bottom bolt. Says 18.5”. Mine measures 22”. Giving me 3.5” lift numbers. Now this Jeep also came with Smitty built front and rear bumpers, these damn things are 1/4” thick and I’ll bet friging heavy. Also a 35” spare on the back and a winch on the front. I would guess all this weight makes the Jeep sag .5”. So guessing it was a 4” lift. I have had a few jeeps and every lift I put on I changed the factory arms, so find oem arms a bit odd, but maybe not?.
Question 1, do you find my reasoning on lift height correct?
#2. If you were ordering Tera 44 front axle, would you go with 0-3” lift or the 4-6” lift version?
#3 do you have a more definitive way to figure lift?

The only thing that really matters is actual net lift, which appears to be ~3.5” on your new to you rig. I’d agree with your assessment it is probably 4” with a little sag.

Teraflex isn’t great about listing all axle details, so I quickly asked them the difference between the 0-3” and 4-6” versions. I figured it was primarily built in caster. They say the lower control arm mounts on the 4-6” version are located differently to accommodate more caster on taller lifts. I’m surprised they don’t alter the angle of the C instead, but that was their response. In regard to your inquiry, at your lift height you’d benefit from as much caster as you can get IMO, even though you are not technically 4-6” of height. If you’re going to go with adjustable control arms you’d be able to dial that in anyhow. I wouldn’t say it’s uncommon for a cheap lift to add shocks and springs and leave the factory arms. Most lifted jeeps out there are done in shoddy fashion.

They did say as well, I see now, that the 4-6" version comes with a raised TB bracket, so it's ready for a high steer setup ("DL flip").

I would not do a teraflex axle. Plenty of axles made in the usa to swap. I would check with Fusion 4x4 first.

Thank you, but that’s just way more axle than I need, that 60/44 must weigh a ton. But, I’m sure it’s tough to break.
