Anyone have any advice on winches? I'll probably go with a Warn but what about a #13000 Zeak? I use the winch a lot dragging trees out of the forest for firewood. Really....

 

Honestly you get what you pay for.. Not saying cheap winches don't work but when you need a winch you want it to work every time. For $300 you can roll the dice see how it does. If just for pulling logs out why not just pull them out with a rope and the jeep? You really don't want to be dragging winch line on the ground all the time.

 

I like my old Ramsey, but when I try to drag logs, my 2 door doesn’t weigh enough to pull a very big log, and winching one heavier than your jeep is very hard on the frame,
