Default 2012 Hemi Swap PCM

Hello,

I will eventually install a 6.4 Hemi into my 2012 jku sport. One thing that bothers me is why can't I use the pcm from the 6.4 to control the engine and trans and the jk pcm to control everything else?

Or can the 6.4 pcm control the engine and talk directly to the jeep??

Any thought will be much appreciated.

My 2008 JK ECU has a menu to change the engine to 6.1 Hemi. If your Jeep is later than 2011 then it has the option most likely to choose a 6.4 then you tune the engine in the Jeep ECU. I would check with the Chrysler specific engine swap shops for Jeeps and ask them the question.
