Default Steering Help Needed. 2010 Jeep JK.

I need to upgrade to a heavier duty steering system but I do mostly street and light off road so don't want to go like full hydraulic. Since I upgraded to 40" tires the steering has gotten a lot worse. On 35 and 37 it was not to bad but now it is time to upgrade. Has anyone had the Teraflex JK: Dana 30/44 High Steer System w/ HD Drag Link Flip Kit & HD Tie Rod Kit system on their jeeps? Is it a good system? What else are people running for heavy duty steering systems?

Upgrading DL and TR isn't a bad thing to do in general, but that's not gonna make it any easier to turn those big shoes. You're still going to have the same stress on that factory steering box. Your profile is sparse, so not sure what kind of lift you have. The high steer kit is more about lift height than it is about being "heavy duty" and better for your build.

I am running Skyjacker 4" lift. Rancho 9000 shocks and the Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer.

As far as steering goes, if you don’t want hydro, your best bet is the psc big bore box but you’re also looking at a steering pump too.

To be honest, you bit off way more than your Jeep can chew with those tires. Your axles are gonna be hurting with those meats.

'When' you decide to bite the bullet on hydro, check out the Redneck Ram system at West Texas Offroad. A bit more cost effective than some other options.

With a 4" lift, don't you already have a flip? Drop pitman and bracket?
