Need some help figuring out what my Jeep is worth. Long story short, I started a build on a JK I bought brand new in late 2015. I got it torn apart, but, due to a combination of personal (divorce) and work issues, had to put the project on hold until I finally finished it this year... just in time for me to have to move to Spain for work. I have looked into taking my Jeep with me to Spain, but the import rules make it almost impossible, so I am going to try to sell it and start on building a Unimog over there. That being said, I have a 2015 JK with less than 700 original miles on it with over $70k of work into it that is literally all brand new.

I know I am not likely to get out of it what I put into it, but I also don’t think that the value for brand new everything should decrease THAT much. Where would you guys start the price at, and where would you suggest I sell it to get the best results? Thanks!

Very perplexing situation.. I'd put a big # on it and note consider reasonable real offers. Price for the JK should be, in this market would probably be 1-2K below New.. It's insane.. and you decide what to value the build up at.. Good LUCK. In my work I come in contact with used car operations and everything is HIGH..

Not sure the blue book, but you have a right to ask well above that with this hardware.

 

So I think last I looked KBB on it was like $38k... then if you figure the suspension, drivetrain, wheels, tires, and armor were another $50k-ish... I figure someone may or may not have done all the extras so maybe that is the icing but $50+$38 still gets me close to $90k

 

I would say you would be happy to get $45k for it. Nothing specail about the build.Some lower end stuff on it. Not sure how you spent that much on mods from what I see. Put it back to stock and sell off all the other stuff would be the best route to go as far as getting top $$.
