Default NY Rust, axel life advice?

Hello, I was looking for some life experience and advice. (pictures below) This project started as one thing and ended up being more, as expected! I was tackling the death wobble, changed all the steering bars and got to the ball joints. Yes, made for a movie, they were as loose as butter. I began to start un-assembling all my parts, piece by piece. While I was at it, I found the ever so popular rust on top of rust everywhere. And it is only 5 years old. While I had the knuckle apart I drill/brushed as much as I could to clean them up and primer them too. When I pulled the axe, I kind of said, uh-oh. I know that is great solid steel, but with all that rust so close to the wheel and pressure, how long can I expect that to last before I am stranded on the trail? I know there are a million variables of how hard and what not, but what do ya all think? 25, 70, 90% that is going to kick it soon or what? Any Advice out there?
