Default 4" Superlift required extras?

I've heard a lot of people having to change out additional parts after installing a 4" lift. I would like to hear from you guys that actually are running these lifts. What needs to be addressed? What issues have you had? What are we breaking?

Thanks

The 4" superlift is a good kit. You will need to get adjustable front control arms as a minumum add on. You can use their cam bolts, but I don't recommend using them. I am sill running the rear track bar bracket, and it has held up for over a year to some pretty good wheeling, no breakage yet.

One other thing is the shocks that came with my lift were a little on the short side, I eventually changed them out for some longer ones.

What he said.

I added adj. front lowers to set my caster.

I also noticed that the shocks were not much longer than the ones I took off that were for a 2-1/2 " lift. The rear (I think ) was about the same length and the front was about 3/4" longer. Or vise-versa, I forget.

I'm still running them and haven't gotten longer ones yet.

What kind of adjustable front arms did you guys use? Which shocks did you buy? (My kit is coming with the Bilstiens) I have the rear swivel arms coming with the kit. I was going to order the front ones later. Kit should be here around the 15th.

I have superlift lowers, and currie uppers. The superlify uppers are on back order for some reason. I did not have any problems with the driveshafts, although I just replaced my front, just didn't like the angle it was at.

I have the Fox emulsion shocks. These needed the par pin eliminators and the front shock conversion kit to work on the JK though

Which of the 4" Superlift kits did you all get? I am finally (!!!) going to be picking up an Unlimited Rubicon very soon and am planning on lifting it immediately with the Superlift kit with the SS monotubes and new rear arms. So I'm interested to hear how badly the new front arms needed. Are they more of a want or a must have as far as you all have seen? I also plan on running 35x12.50x17 tires with the lift if that has any impact on things.

I ordered a kit with the rockrunner arms in the rear. I haven't ordered the front ones yet.. I was just looking for input before I put the kit on myself. It should be here very soon.

I got my SL kit from David at Northridge, $800 with the bilstien shocks and frt adj trackbar, rear bracket, coils, brake line exts., new bumpstops and compression pads frt and rear. It came with cam bolts, didn't use them . JK drives fine. I have a 4dr. so the rear driveshaft looks fine, the front is at a bad angle but have wheeled it with no probs so far. About 2500 miles on the lift, I did put it on myself and it will take you awhile to do it without a pair of extra hands or power tools. But it's definately not that hard to put on. If I can do , a blind 1 armed monkey can.
