Which winch?
Prices have gone up.... but I need one (at least I WANT one for those days, you know).
So I am looking at three options presently to add to a new bumper:
A) Harbor Freight Badland Apex - 12000 lb with synthetic rope (80 ft) for $630
B) Smittybilt X20-12 - 12000 lb with synthetic rope (98.5 ft) for $720
C) Smittybilt X20-10 - 10000 lb with synthetic rope (98.5 ft) for $600
All have wired/wireless remote capabilities, 3/8" synthetic rope. All are IP68 waterproof. the Apex is also IP69K rated.
Thoughts or advice? Thanks

There is Warn, and then there are all others.
I couldn't swallow the price of a Warn for my general use. I've had Smitty X20 10k with synthetic line coming up on 7 years now. It's been a good winch for me and my 4dr. Probably should have the 12k model but I don't spend that much time dangling over the side of a cliff with 100% of the jeep's weight suspended by my winch line. Most of the time the line comes out it's for just that little extra needed oomph or as precaution in a precarious situation.

Keep your eye on the Harbor Freight sales! I got my Badlands 12k for something like $450, and then ordered a Rock Hard 4x4 winch plate for my 10A bumper. All I have done with it so far is pull stumps, but it has done really well at that!
Scott2012, not sure when you got your Badlands, but current pricing here is $630 and the HF Super Coupon days are now gone (perhaps there will be a sale or two between now and Christmas, but I want this before Labor Day).

Prices are gone damn up. I bought an Smitty Comp 12k Winch for my truck in Sep 2020. I paid $503 for it from Amazon. The exact same winch is now $696 today

In any case, i bought another Smitty but 9500lbs couple of weeks ago with steel rope for the Jeep. More expensive than before but what are we going to do?. Thanks Dementia Joey and his group for it. So next time don't make the same mistake, Some people actions have consequences and 7 months down the road barely and we're all paying for it. Dear lord.

Should be enough for my needs in this vehicle. As mentioned There is Warn, and there there is the others. Though i think the Warn VR's are made in China, so if you care about that don't buy the VR get the Zeon's and above, more expensive but in theory Made in USA and a much better winch if you can afford Warn prices.

Many people don’t even look at them, but my Ramsey 9000 has worked great for close to 30 years now, and has pulled a lot from being on different vehicles, I had it on a 78 chev that it got its workout, this little jeep it would probably drag about anywhere, worth looking at before you settle on any brand

I refuse to join and I will say it has influenced some of my purchasing habits.
