Default Anyone seen anything like this after a repair?

So I am new to the forum and am glad I have found some fellow Jeepers... I recently had a run in with a tree branch in my 17 Willys... So I replaced the windshield frame and window... Needless to say, Now that i picked it up at the shop, the freedom tops are not flush on the front and the window is leaking. It was not like this before the new windshield frame went in. I am taking it back to the shop on Monday, however, do you forsee this being a tough fix? Also, when driving down the road, It almost sounds as though the windshield isnt sealed properly. Thoughts? Photos are attached,

Welcome to JKF.. Definitely get back to the shop that did the repair.. Before if you have long metal level about maybe 8ft in length, take the panel out and put the straight edge on the windshield top edge .. check for being distorted.. You will have more info to discuss with the shop on Monday.. If flat and straight across then check the metal hoop that the top panel latches to in the center... Good group of members on JFK and ready with replies and opinions.

Default Is it possible that the footman loop is adjustable?

When i try to latch my front latch to the window frame, it barely touches... are those footman loops adjustable?

I was thinking footman loop as well. They aren't adjustable, but guessing that either the new frame either didn't have it drilled and the installer had to do it, or the tolerance was off a bit. Might have enough room to drill 2 new holes to mount it just slightly off from where it is now. Either way, seems this should be remedied by the installer and insurance company.

They are going to fix it… think that’sa relatively easy fix? I’ve been without my Jeep for over a week and having to drive my mother in laws 15 year old Altima… talk about awful

That all depends. A lot of things are "easy fixes" when they aren't your own and you don't have to live with it. Curious to see what they do....if they just reposition the footman loop or what. At this point I'm not sure what else they would do. They're unlikely to order and install a new frame and that seems like the easiest solution. Keep in mind these guys probably aren't making an additional profit on the "fix", which might speak to the quality of the solution. Hopefully not, but that is how it goes sometimes.

Im hoping its as simple as moving the loop... that would make sense to me... as it is required to pull the seals tight. I am also going to replace the header seal while im at it. those are fairly simple to install are they not?

Check your estimate/repair order to check for a New Header seal already; before you spend $ on one. If they replaced the frame, one would think a new header seal was installed.
