Default 07JK - MagnaFlow Converter Cat & Rock Crawler Cat-Back System

On my 07JK the Magnaflow converter cat just passed the 80K mile mark and started to show signs of failing (0420 & 0430). After performing several diagnostic test (Exhaust Leak, Mechanical & 02 Sensor) the results kept pointing back to the cats.

Question: Replacing the magnaflow cat with a standard oem cat while keeping the rock crawler cat-back system - My guess is that the performance would take a hit ... any other Pro's / Cons ... thoughts? TIA

Does your JK happen to consume oil? Converters are supposed to last at least 100,000 miles.

Consumes around half or 1 quart every 2,500'ish miles. Per MagnaFlow's site: "... the vehicle is properly used and maintained, original converters are covered by the emission control warranty for 8 years or 80,000 miles ..."
