Default Roof Rack for 2008 Rubicon 4Dr

I need more room for my 2008 Rubicon 4dr. I am going to buy a roof rack for it and would like some suggestions. I like the one from Wild Boar. I have also heard that Olympic 4X4 is coming out with a Dave's Rack for the 4dr. Do you guys have any do's or dont's.

I personally love the Garvin Roof Rack, and as a rack itself i have herd good things. There are also alot of accesories for it like brackets for lights and shovels, etc.

The one bad thing i have read alot about the Garvin rack is that it rusts easily. Im planning on getting this rack eventually and getting it line-xed. I think that rack with Line-x would look great, and line-x shouldn't be too much for it. maybe 200? just my 2 cents

The two biggest concerns I have seen are rusting and drilling the body. It is hard to find a rack that wont rust without coating it and there are only a few that dont require drilling the body. I have been researching them for a few years ever since I had my TJ. I have replaced my TJ now with a JK and still haven't purchased one. I am seriously thinking about having someone help me custom build one so I can get what I want and mount it how I want.

Thanks for the review on the Wild Boar dyolfknip. I like the idea of having a rack that flips up so I can put the soft top up and down.

Does the garvin flip back easlily for soft top removal?

The Garvin flips back, but not easily. You have to remove 4 bolts w/ washers and nuts, and then add 2 brackets with washers, nuts, etc. -- and that's just to tilt it back. Then you gotta undo/re-do all the bolts, etc. to drop it back.

I'll be switching from the hard-top to the soft-top this summer, but the soft-top will stay up. I'm only going to remove the windows when I want air. Tilting the rack is just too much of a PITA.

Talking

I purchased a Garvin/Wilderness rack for my JK.
Its been working out real well.

Ive made a few mods to it for what i needed.

What really impressed me was that the license plate light went out.
I couldnt find a replacement so i sent an e-mail to Garvin. Within 2 hours i had an e-mail back from Ron Garvin telling me he would have a new light sent out today.
2 days later it showed up.
These guys have a loyal customer for life.

I see alot of ranting about crappy customer service and its really nice to have a manufacturer support their products and customers.

i have the kargo master congocage.
$329, holds 500 lbs. and doesn't mount to the body.
i haul my kayak, john boat, and long supplies from home depot on it, not one complaint.
