I have a 2011 JK that I installed a K&N cold air intake on. Since then the P0113 code has been on. I’ve tested the sensor and the wiring harness and both check out. On my Trail Dash 2 Tuner it shows that IAT reading the exact same as the ambient air temp. Could it be that the cold air intake has throw off the sensor and it is now reading off the ambient air as default?? If so what can I do to fix this I need this check engine light off in order to get it inspected and the code won’t delete when I try to clear it.
Reinstall the old airbox and tubing to see if you can get rid of the code to get it inspected and then go from there. Try looking up the code on Google for possible corrective action
I would try what MTNBKR said if you have the old boxjust to see if it clears the code. Also I would rotate that spring clamp on your upper rad hose. Other than that try a new sensor, possibly damaged during the swap over?
It's a sensor high code, and since it happened in when moving the sensor it's almost certainly an intermittent bad connection -- i.e. bad connector, bad wire, or bad connection at/in the sensor (thermister) itself.
