Default Lift and Towing

I purchased a 2D 2013 Wrangler Sport with +100K miles earlier this year. I don’t do a lot of off-roading and what I do is not very demanding. We are retired and have a small (about 2000lbs) trailer and will be doing a lot of towing with the Jeep. The trailer has brakes and I've regeared to 4.10. I’d like to do a small lift admittedly more for cosmetics, but also hoping to improve the ride I'm now getting from the original shocks. The two routes I’m thinking of are a Teraflex 1.25-Inch Body Lift Kit and Falcon 2.1 Shocks or a Teraflex 1.5 Sport S/T1 Suspension Lift Kit with Falcon 2.1 Shocks. After reading many posts, I found that there are a lot of people that don’t like body lifts, but since I’m using my Jeep for frequent towing, I like that a body lift will have less impact on handling (plus the lower cost).

Questions.
Will a 1.5” suspension lift kit have a negative impact on towing handling?
I’d like to go to 33’s eventually, but it will be a while. Will my current 30" 235/75R16 112T tires work OK with the 1.5” suspension lift (functionally and cosmetically)?
Anyone happy with just a 1.25” body lift?
Any other thoughts on this?

Thanks for you input.

The main con to a body lift is going to be appearance as you will see more pinch seam etc. If you had a manual it seems a little modification is in order to help it stay in gear better, but since you have an auto that is not an issue. Your COG does stay lower with a body lift but your alternative of a 1.5" suspension lift isn't going crazy or anything. Your caster with a suspension lift will decrease a touch. I'd say most are not fans of a body lift, but it's all personal preference and the only opinion that matters in that regard is yours. Though there is a slight COG difference between the two options, I don't think you're going to notice much between the two as far as towing. You're obviously not going to be out doing a lot of aggressive driving with that wheelbase while yanking 2k lbs behind ya.
