Default Canadian cats

It’s looking like I may end up having to replace the catalytic converter on my 07 JKU. Anyone have experience with the replacement cats sold on eBay that are distributed out of Canada? I’m in NC so my understanding is they should pass emissions requirements here. Just wanted to see if anybody had any firsthand experience and if so, if there were particular supplier you would recommend.

Have you tried Walmart? They sell direct replacement parts for exhausts. Even up here in Canada so definitely down south of the 49th.

not yet, but I’ll give it a look. I read on another forum that someone had success with them. Seems like there are multiple vendors in Canada that charge roughly $250 for the full y pipe for the JKU…compared to roughly $800 (minimum) here stateside…ouch!

Thing is we don't "need" these parts as there are no smog tests here so any old pipe or muffler will do in a pinch. I got a dual outlet perfect fit Dynomax Turbo replacement here from Walmart Canada for $249 CDN and it took less than 5 minutes to install using the stock hangers.
