Vacuum Pump reorientation question for offroad sway bar
Hey everyone,
A little history first. I just installed a Rock Jock (Currie) offroad front sway bar in my 2012 JK, but noticed during the installation that the vacuum pump located behind the drivers side front bumper is in the way of the sway bar's new position. I've seen some threads about relocating the vacuum pump to an entirely new location, but nothing about reorienting it on the same bracket.I got myself into this debacle because the bolt heads holding the bracket onto my genright bumper are located behind the winch, and I'd really like to not have to pull the winch just to remove the bracket for this thing (nuts wont spin off without holding the bolt heads).
I was able to flip the vacuum pump upside-down and remount it at the same location to provide enough clearance for the new sway bar, so my question is, will rotating that pump 180 degrees cause it to malfunction or hinder its ability to operate properly in any way? My thinking is that it's dealing with air so it shouldn't matter, but I wanted to gather some thoughts from the community.
