Default Steel braided brake lines for lifted JK

Hey everyone,

I have a 3" Teraflex CT3 kit with Falcon Shocks on my 2012 JK, and I'm about to install an offroad sway bar to the rear which requires brake hard-line relocations. I thought I'd upgrade the stock rubber brake lines with some braided & coated lines while I'm at it, but I'm unsure what length to order. 26" (total length) seems to be a common length I'm finding for lifts around 3-4 inches but I'd hate to be too short or way too long. Anyone have any experience with this and have an opinion to share?

I use Metalcloak lines on my 3" MC lift and have the hard lines back in their original locations beside the chassis. Does relocating your hard lines mean the flex lines will be longer or shorter in length or by drop do you mean the same by removing the brake line relocation brackets which, in my case, caused my sway bar to "relocate" my hard line end to the point it severed?

It's tough to say without having done the rear hardline relocation yet, but I believe it keeps the height of the hard-line flange in relatively the same spot, it just moved it inward a few inches to create space for the new sway link & arm.

That "relocation" is just pulling those hard lines down a touch....no real stress on the lines but it's just better to replace with longer brakes lines. I'd give a +1, 2, AND 3 to the MC lines. I had some braided steel lines from Crown before and now have the MC lines. The MC lines are so much nicer IMO. They seem a bit more flexible and the exterior coating is a lot better.

I actually don't remember what brand lines I now have, but I had the Crown before and that exterior coating just started peeling off after a few years. I was very disappointed.

Looks like Crown is off my list then! Thanks for the reviews.
