Default Help me diagnose what is leaking

Hey y’all, I heard a metal rattling sound under my car on passenger side when I gave it throttle in park. Crawled under it and saw their was a little wetness on the heat shield of passenger side cat converter. Looked above that to find what looks to be oil leaking out of the bottom of the engine? Not sure. If you know what this is let me know. I will include a link since it won’t let me post a video with enough MB.

really can’t tell from the video. A common oil leak it is the oil filler/cooler. It sits on top on the engine under the air intakes (where your oil filter goes) and leaks down the backside and sides. About 1200 for a shop to fix. I did mine for only 120. Take a bring flashlight, take off the engine cover and look down in the valley by the oil filler, if you see fluid that is most likely your culprit. Sometimes it can be the rear main seal but the oil filler seems to be the most common.

thank you for the reply man I appreciate you. I did just that and directly underneath the oil filter housing there was a big pool of old oil. It doesn’t look like the new oil I just put in last week. I sponged it all up dry. Hoping it’s just spillage I did when removing my old filter last oil change. About to take it for a spin and check again and I figure that will tell me.

You got it! Most likely it is 😕 then. I dragged my feet on doing the repair and would pressure wash the power train. It would take awhile for it to start coming down the back/ sides and onto my skid plates, eventually the ground. Let me know what ends up happening!
