Default Front Spacer Lift Only

I was curious if anyone has put coil spacers on the front of their Jeep, but not the rear. I have been looking at Unlimited Rubicons and they seem to have the most rake of any of the Wrangler models. If I got one I'd consider adding 3/4" spacers to the front coils to level it out. Anyone else done this? Also, with just 3/4" spacers would I need shock extenders? Thanks.

Before someone beats me to it:

I just installed Skyjacker 0.75" spacers in the front of my stock JK Unlimited Rubicon to level out the rake. You'd be surprised what a difference it makes!

I don't have any after-market bumpers, winches or anything - except for the Expedition One Rubi Skid plate that weighs maybe 25lbs. The Jeep sits much more level now and looks much better. If I had to do it over again, I would install at least a 1" or 1.25" spacer though - 0.75" doesn't quite get there, although it is better.

As far as the geometry goes, 0.75" isn't enough to throw anything out of whack. I was told (in this forum) I would need to re-center my steering wheel, but I found that the spacer didn't alter the steering wheel at all. There's no need for shock extensions or anything since the shocks aren't fully extended by more than the 0.75" I added.

You should be good to go!

By the way, I am finishing up tax season so I wasn't able to do the install myself, but I had a local shop install them and they charged me $70 (about an hour of labor time). I had them rotate the tires while they were at it.

I'll try to take some pics this weekend, but it's difficult with the amount of hours I am working. Good luck.

I think it depends on your Jeep. I installed a 1.75" spacer in the front and a 0.75" spacer in the rear. So, that gives me 1" more up front. It looks like it's more (it's not, measured with a tape measure) than the rear. There is now reverse rake. If I went with a 1.5" up front, then it'll be perfect.

I am installing a Expedition One bumper/winch mount and a winch soon enough, so it'll level itself off.

34's and 35's are going to be really tight.

I think if I do 1" spacers in the front and a 1" BL w/ 33's it will be a really good setup...

Default spacers

I've ordered a set of Rxxxxxx Exxxxxx 1 3/4'' front spacers due in tomorrow according to UPS. My Unlimited sits exactly 1 1/2'' low in the front measured at the center of the flairs. I won't use the factory spring pad so these spacers should measure out about right installed.....Everything I've researched indicates that shock extenders aren't needed below a 2'' lift. Anybody know anything different ?

I was running a 1.75" up front...nothing in the back, stock aluminum 16's with some SpiderTrax 1.5" spacers. I am running 295/75R16's on it. Sat PERFECTLY level!

But I wasn't satisfied with that so I installed a RC 2.5" lift. They are 2.5 up front and 2 in the rear... now my rake is back! Argh!

Hey tinman... I didn't have the shock extensions with my 1.75" front and the ride was like a TANK... after I went to the RC with the extensions... man, COMPLETELY different rig. Hopin' the wife gets me some new shocks for my B'day next month!

So I would probably need shock extensions for some 1.5" spacers up front...? Thinking instead of 1" spacers I may go with 1.5" up front and then the BL as well.

I'm thinking of a 1.75" front 1" rear with at least 33" tires possibly 34" or 35" if there is room.
285/75 R16. It's a 33" on the stock X 16" steelies.
