Default Weird lift dream

I had this thaught a while ago, With all these differant versions of the JK out there do they make differant spring rates for each differant one. 2Dr vs 4Dr and x vs rubi. Being Rhonda and I both own 2Dr rubi's my thaught has been to put on 4Dr rubi springs. After getting a set of slightly used 4Dr rubi spring from Dave @ Northridge 4x4, my Jeep Tech guy who works at Town and Country Jeep in Seattle put them in yesterday and RubyDoo even with all the stuff in and on her gained an inch of height. That is 1" lift gained.

Pictures would not due anything but prove she was measured and how much she gained as there both "stock" springs and do NOT look much of any differant. Guess dreams do come true.

That makes sense, pretty common trick many do, but first I've heard it done with the JK's. Make a good "free" mod

There is supposedly a whole mess of spring rates depending on model and door count! So it makes sense the spring rate would be firmer on a four door than a two door.

Nice to hear, I got a set of JKU Rubi springs too. Going to throw them in when I put in the RC 2.5 BB I am picking up on Monday.

i was pretty sure there we like 20+ spring rates then i drove out to my dealer and u can tell just by looking down the row of JKs that some are taller right from the factory.

Question what?

2 Doors and 4 doors are the same, from the front bumper to right behind the front doors... They only difference is in the back, so if you put 4D springs with the same ratings as your 2d, wouldn't it just make the factory rake worse?
