Default Woods Front drive shaft install help

I am attempting to install my new woods drive shaft and when on the phone with woods I was told I need to remove the differental flang which involves removing this big nut. What is required to get this off? I don't want to break anything. I try a breaker bar, but as I pull the flang moves with my pulling (yes the tires are on the ground) and the impact gun doesn't seem to work. I hope the transfer case is not this hard.

Thanks!

my guess would be to engage 4lo and try it again. Its my understanding that the front spins freely when its in 2wd.

i'm not sure the diff should move with the tires on the ground. the transfer case will not move if you put it in 4Lo

You need to rig up a special tool that goes into a couple of holes on the flange, is about two foot long yet still allows access to the nut. Mopar of course has theirs, but if you have some metal lying around you should be able to rig something up to hold that flange in place. Remember, it's all leverage. Once the flange is secure, the impact should be able to zip it off.

I think the pinion nut is 32mm and after that I used a gear puller to take off the flange. When you put the new one on, use some anti-seize on the next flange.

I used a harmonic balane puller, while it wasnt exactly perfect, it worked.

You should be able to rent something at your local Napa
