Are JKS Sway Bar Links The Same As These Cheap China Links?
I am looking at buying some front sway bar disconnect links for my JKU. I noticed that the JKS look identical to these cheap china sway bar links that I found on Ebay. I know it is common for aftermarket companies to source from manufacturers in China; therefore, it is common that multiple outlets are selling the same products with their own brand on it.
Does anyone have any information on these Ebay sway bar links or the JKS ones?
Those look dang near same thing to me. I would say there is certainly nothing fancy or special going on with a set of sway bar links. Could be as simple as allthread and a couple rod ends. I don't see anything wrong with using those ebay links. You obviously know you're buying a simple chinese knock off at the end of the day. I've had my JKS links for 10 years now......and I'd suspect those links would perform exactly the same.
No sure how your post ended up in a different sway bar thread but I am 99.99% sure you were responding to this thread. Odd. Anyhow, moved it over here.
I find the pictures in those reviews pretty interesting. For me it's having almost the opposite effect and I'm almost willing to blow $60 and slap em on my jeep just to see. Not necessarily calling BS, but I have a hard time seeing how that damage could happen in 2 weeks of regular use. Maybe if they tried to go rock crawling with sway bar connected....but who the hell does that
Also, am I missing the jam nuts in this pic -

My experience with Chinese junk (not the fishing boats) is that the steel bit is ok but those rubbers would hammer out real quick which causes the slop and hence noise. Basically soome business acquantances who are of Chinese descent say that the west demands cheap so they get crap.

I was about to say the same thing. I was questioning how these were in this condition in only two weeks.

I agree in general about China crap; however I was also including the ones by JKS as china crap because I can promise you they aren’t making these in house, most of the parts not fabricated in house for these off road brands are being sourced from China or another Asian Country and at best just assembled in the USA.
I remember reading how almost all the gears are produced by the same Asian manufacturer and that the names don’t really matter because they all come from same manufacturer.
This is common in a lot of industries (snap on 3-ton jack manufacturer making the same jack for Harbor Freights brand, Milwaukee and Dewalt’s manufacturers selling white label tools overseas nearly identical to the name brand). Nearly all of these “built American tough” brands are using China manufacturers… especially for their non-core items like sway bar disconnects relative to in-house fabricated control arms and tie rods.

I would not doubt these come from the same manufacturer. I have these on the wife's and JKS on the kids and they are identical if you hold them in your hand together. https://rubiconexpress.com/Suspensio...=101&t_pt=4309
